Sound Chaser Puzzlement.
This is the only Yes song that I actually really dig (or can tolerate), mostly because it's a lot like the early 70s incarnation of King Crimson, with awesome harmonized vocals. There's no electric viola, though....oddly viola (and 5-string electric violin) has come up several times in the last couple of days. Weird...
I'm puzzled by the device that I always thought was an electric piano. Dude (what else can you call a shirtless longhair with mallets) is clearly playing some electrified chromatic percussion instrument in the following video. Andrew needs one of those.
The sound is sort of bad at times. Apparently, this is a 1976 show.
Actually, at the beginning, Dude is playing a bell tree or something in unison with the electric piano. I just had that moment of clarity when I realize that I'm an idiot. Still, Andrew requires some mallet instrument that sounds like an electric piano--oh yeah, that would be VIBES. I'm an idiot sometimes.
