No Complaints
Okay, maybe a couple--I drove 13 hours today with no breaks and no nourishment--I'm fucking tired; I miss my sweetie.
Today my folks read the Westword article, and were very interested to hear the disc. Since they generally don't think that I'm capable of making music, I have shielded them (mostly) for a long time. I succumbed, and let them listen on their "cross-wired" stereo (they don't even notice that the imaging is fucked up).
Mahoney is now a BLC superfan, and is jonezin' to see us do our thing. He actually got excited (amazing, really) about music. He thinks that we should do a European tour (HELLO WARSAW). I was a little bit dismissive, because I don't think that it sounds like a safe plan for this band (a hard sell).
My mom is all into us going overseas after hearing the album, too.
I think that they're both nuts, but they're planning on coming out for the Meadowlark show (I'm still fucking astonished). LRC can babysit them. Since Mom is in jail every Friday and Saturday night, shows are rough to plan.
